About half an hour prior to the end of the event we will be launching a weather balloon which will be traveling to the edge of space carrying a payload of some experimental radios the lab has been working on which will scan for radio data at altitude. Yard games include corn hole, can jam, ladder toss etc.
We'll start by playing yard games and allow the opportunity to ask questions about our organization, meet current members, and talk about our projects. Launch off your interest in Space with the UB Nanosatellite Lab This will be a place to meet new students that are interested in law- packaged food only (chips, bottled drinks) - yard games outside (weather permitting)- learn more about our organization. Join us to practice frisbee throws, meet new people and have fun times with friendly competition and prizes. The clinic will consist of drills focusing on basic stick skills such as cradling, passing, and catching. This clinic will be used to introduce potential new members to the sport of lacrosse as well as allowing students who have previously played to meet some of the current team members. Prizes can be won for those that win the "races." We will have an event sign-up for anyone who is interested in learning more, and a team sign-up for those who are ready to commit to the team. You can "race" a team member of your choice. We will have two Ergs (rowing machines) for the purpose of having a "basics of rowing" workshop where we talk about rowing on the water and our winter training on the Ergs. We will be having a night of Kahoot and trivia in order to help new students familiarize yourselves with the club and we will be giving out prizes including UB gear and gift cards.
If you are thinking of auditioning, or just want to come sing with us, we would love for you to attend! The Enchords pride ourselves on being a welcoming, encouraging, and fun-loving group, so there is no pressure when performing. After performing a song together, the students will be able to talk, sip, and ask questions about the group. In this musical workshop students will be able to warm-up, learn, and sing with members of the group, all while getting to know what a capella and The Enchords are all about. We will also be showcasing our International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella Music Video set that won 1st place in semi-finals and moved on to the Finals.Ĭome and get to know UB's Co-Ed a capella group: The Enchords.
